Rare and precious - ancient Japanese gems
Have you heard of the 'Japanese Jade', a gemstone unique to Japan and appreciated all over the world? Around 5500 years ago, when Japanese people first learned to value the concept of 'jewellery', it was this gem that became the center of admiration. Rare and precious even amongst the Jade stones, this one can only be found around Itoigawa in the Oumi area in Niigata Prefecture. It is out of this treasure of nature that we create our 'Magatama' shaped jewellery.
